What is a mitochondria reset?
A reset is a deliberate 12-week period where you line up the habits that most influence your mitochondria, and track the results against your own starting point.
The word “reset” is not a medical term. It names a structured block of time in which you:
- Stimulate mitochondria with endurance work, short intervals and strength training.
- Protect recovery with a regular sleep window, morning light and an earlier caffeine cut-off.
- Feed your body with enough protein, plants and an earlier eating window.
- Measure change: resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, sleep, weight and more.
See the evidence behind each habit on Mitochondria 101.
Why 12 weeks?
Training adaptations build over weeks, not days. Twelve weeks is long enough for habits to settle and for trends to show, and short enough to commit to fully. After week 12 the plan moves to a lighter maintenance routine so you keep what you built.
Who it is for
Healthy adults who want a clear structure for fitness, energy and recovery. It is not for treating a medical condition and not a substitute for care from your clinician. Please read the health disclaimer.
